Testimonials

"Being one of the more mature members of the club, I decided in 2005 to take control rather than await my mid life crisis. I joined the gym and gave up smoking, which improved my health and fitness, in 2006 I joined this kickboxing class and now benefit from increased stamina, fexibilty and strength. The classes help me unwind after a stressful day, I get a real sense of achievement. Not only have I improved physically with balance and co-ordination but also mentally I can focus more and be more self disciplined.

I enjoy kickboxing because we are taught to use elements of boxing techniques combined with martial arts. The class, with the combined aerobics elements is both demanding and fun. Whilst the classes are quite strict they are very enjoyable, a good bunch of class mates also gives a social element to the club, yea!
We also have two great trainers in Lee and Paul."

"Just a few lines from a 30 some thing guy who wanted to get fit and fully learn how to defend myself if needed. I booked on with Lee Smith for my self and my daughter to train 3 days a week one on one with Lee. I find it really hard but really enjoyable and have already pre booked a load more lessons I find Lee motivating and very knowledgeable every lesson is different from the last so I never get bored. My fitness level is good now and am nearly half way to achieving my black belt and so is my daughter who is only 9 years old.

Well worth booking with this guy if you want to enjoy getting fit and learning how to protect yourself if needed with the kick boxing.

"I first started looking into how to get fit after deciding that too much desk work was helping me to pack on the pounds. At the age of 34 I was no longer looking like the man I once remembered being, and convinced that mirrors were working against me, and stress was a too familiar sight as well.

I had previously done a Gym membership without seeing or feeling much different in myself after a year and twice week visits, so did not want to take this path again for that reason alone. I then decided to look for a personal trainer who would have complete focus on you and what you want to achieve. However, upon investigating into this I realized they mostly seemed to be rather regimented and not to mention expensive as well. The idea was too feel fit and reduce stress, which didn’t exactly go hand in hand when paying out the cost of a years gym membership each month .

I subsequently found Lee Scott Smith, who looked to offer something far more unique. The idea of using the martial art of Kick Boxing to get fit sounded great, not only a great way to burn the lard and tone up those wobbly parts that most beers reach, it also gives your self confidence a great boost, not forgetting that built up stress you get to release whilst pounding the pads.

The instructors (Lee Smith) works with you and what your targets are, plus looks at you individual ability and fitness levels. Your sessions are also staged to intensify as you become fitter. It is not regimented in any way and changes every session, so no ‘same ole’ routines.

I have now completed 7 hourly sessions and I have my own gloves now. I can honestly say this is an excellent way to get where you want to be, as it will build up you heart rate much faster and burn more calories than sitting on one of those bike’s in the gym.

Highly recommended
